Way 1: from Start menuīring up the Start menu by pressing the Win key on your keyboard or by clicking the Win button on the lower left corner of Windows 10 desktop, then click the Power button, and then click Shut down or Restart. I will start with the most commonly used way. 8 ways to shut down or restart your computer in Windows 10 Some of the ways may be used infrequently, but they are still worth learning because it benefits you to learn something new. ![]() You have to activate it.8 Ways to Shut Down or Restart Your Computer with Windows 10ĭo you know how many ways to shut down or restart your computer with Windows 10? Here we introduce eight ways. Should be able to just push the joy stick in to center the the box.įor some reason, the joystick did not move the focus box around at all, I had to use my thumb on the screen to move it while composing using the viewfinder. Is there a way to have it always locked at a specific point, or return to that specific point for the next composition once I release the shutter button from the half press? Somehow, it was at inopportune times in the bottom or top corners. Only question I had is I found that the box of the focus point would remain where I last had it. Have to say - this worked so incredibly well! I used it last weekend on a wedding I assisted at and nailed so many more shots - so much less "looking" or locking the wrong person. You are also much more likely to initially focus on your desired target using this method. Using this method you can switch subjects in less than half a second. To switch let off the focus button, point the camera at the new desired subject and half-press the focus button. To select a subject simply point the small box at the desired subject. When shooting place the box in the center of the frame if it is not already there. This determines where the autofocus will begin looking for the subject. Go to AF 5(Magenta)>Initial Servo AF pt for subject detection With the setting in item 2 above, the EYE Detection will pick up precisely where you were focused prior to actuating it.ĥ) Take the shot/s, then go back to the AF On Button, to seek/select another subject. For example, if I have three people walking towards me and I want to capture the one closest to me to lock on AF, and AF locks the middle person, is there a rapid way to recompose and relock the AF to the other subject? This is not posed, so I don't have time to stop them - lets say a wedding procession, etc.ġ) Rather than shooting continuously with Eye Detection enabled, configure EYE Detection to a button like the * button, & initially use the AF On button to acquire focus.Ģ) In Initial Servo AF Point for- ( AF5, Item 1, select the 2nd choice, "AF Pt set for any AF Mode/Method in use.ģ) Shoot using any appropriate Mode/Method, like SPOT, Center Point, Expansion, etc., without EYE Detection enabled.Ĥ) Example: Focus on the intended subjects face with any of the Mode/Methods, like Center Point for example, and once focus is achieved and your ready to take the shot, press the * button to enable Eye Detection. I am struggling at times to have the eye AF pick up the "right" person at times. Is there an easy or fast way to select a different target to AF when multiple individuals are in scene? Imagine a cocktail hour, or groomsmen/bridesmaids walking together towards me. ![]() I know the screen has the touch to focus, so that may be the best answer here and to learn to shoot using the screen, but want to see if I am missing something. Other one is I use my right thumb to move the focus area to the face of the intended target, but find it also is slow and I can be prone to miss it. I can quickly miss a shot here though and cannot always execute this. The methods I have tried is move the camera down to the ground fast, hit AF again to try to "reset it" and then bring back up with only the subject I want in the frame, then recompose. For example, if I have three people walking towards me and I want to capture the one closest to me to lock on AF, and AF locks the middle person, is there a rapid way to recompose and relock the AF to the other subject? This is not posed, so I don't have time to stop them - lets say a wedding procession, etc. This may be a novice question, so forgive me if I am missing something, but I am struggling at times to have the eye AF pick up the "right" person at times.
